Last Shoot of 2012!

I can't really put into words how great the last family shoot of the year was.  A) The weather was unseasonably warm for December, which was perfect, B) these kids were seriously so. much. fun and I loved seeing how well they got along and how excited they were for the shoot and C) I was able to get canvases made and delivered before the holiday, despite the lab cutoff dates.  All of these things really made this session exactly what it was - happy, fun, loving, and full of laughter and smiles.  It was perfect.  Thank you, Davis'  :)

Family Shoot on the Chesapeake

Downs Park is one of my favorite places on the peninsula.  It's right on the water, you can see the Bay Bridge in the distance, they have a beach, trails in the woods and a lovely garden.  It's really a perfect place for family photos!!  This adorable bunch braved the sea breeze for some last minute photos for the holiday season and I couldn't be happier with the results!!  Such a gorgeous, gorgeous family!!  Here are some of my favorites :)

Coming Soon, Baby Brantley!

What do cargo planes, yoga and JAGs have in common?  A baby of course!!!  Both Jill and her husband, Dustin, are in the Air Force - she is a reservist who flies cargo planes (and practices yoga in her spare time!) and Dustin is a JAG.   Their jobs have taken them all over the country, but they will be welcoming their little bundle of joy here in Maryland where they will stay for a few years :)

Jill suggested downtown Annapolis for the shoot and she got the perfect day for it!  The sun was shining, it was warm, and the light towards the end of the session set the colorful leaves ablaze.  It was such a great day!  Enjoy some of my favorites from the shoot :)

Pow-Pow-PowerWheels!

Breslin and I used to work together and I was so excited when she asked me to do their family photos!! She would always tell us the funniest stories about her little boys and things they would do and say, so I couldn't wait to meet these little guys :)  They just moved to quite the fall photo friendly home, so it was not only a convenient location for them, but also got me giddy inside.  Will greeted me by giving me a Toy Story sticker to wear (which now has a home on one of my camera bags) and Cal gave me a tour of the house and showed me his Hot Wheels collection.  These two have so much personality and it was just a really fun shoot on a fabulous fall day!  Enjoy!
